Welcome aboard Prabhakaran Alagesan!

We are excited to welcome Prabhakaran Alagesan (Prabha) to ESAB/GCE as our new Global Commodity Manager for Electronics, Plastics, and Medical Segment Focal Leader, based in Chennai, India.

Prabha brings 14 years of sourcing experience across multiple industries. Most recently, he spent four years with Grundfos, where he managed sourcing for the IMEA region and contributed to APAC purchasing, focusing on categories such as castings, sheet metal fabrication, machining, fasteners, C-class parts, gauges, bearings, and valves.

He holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and an Executive MBA with dual specialization in Operations and Marketing.

Outside of work, Prabha lives in Chennai with his wife and daughter, who is in Grade 1. He is passionate about coaching and mentoring young minds, enjoys music, long drives, and even builds aquariums in his free time.
